Method of Application:

Apply the cream onto your cleansed dry face in the morning. For a maximum effect, we recommend preliminary use of a therapeutic serum.

What Is SPF?

Sun Protection Factor is a measure of sunscreens' ability to protect the skin from UVB rays that damage skin, cause sunburns and can contribute to skin cancer. SPF15 means the sunscreen protects skin from burning for 15 times longer than without it. For example, if it takes 20 minutes for unprotected skin to start reddening, using an SPF15 sunscreen theoretically prevents reddening for 300 minutes (5 hours).

However, this is only a rough estimate for ideal circumstances. In reality, sunscreen shouldn't be expected to stay effective for longer than two hours without reapplication. Moreover, two types of ultraviolet radiation damage the skin (UVB and UVA), but SPF only refers to UVB. Nowadays we know that UVA rays are extremely harmful and can contribute to skin cancer as well, but most beauty products don't protect against UVA properly. In the beginning of 2014 the Israeli Ministry of Health determined the legal guidelines for UVA protection.
